Cheesy Carrot Cookies

Ok, really what I want to call this post is “Coonie Crack”. I have no idea why but both girls are exceptionally in love with this treat.  Like crazy nuts!  Has anyone seen the show on Food Network called “5 Ingredient Fix”?  Well, these are my 5 ingredient dog treats!

Ingredients: 1.5 jars carrot baby food, 2 handfuls of shredded Italian blend cheese, 1 egg, 1 TBS garlic powder, 1.5 cups flour (I used garbanzo bean flour)

Mix all the ingredients. You want the dough flaky and easily rolled into a ball. So,  for the picture below-you’d add a bit more flour. If your dough is too dry, you can add a little more carrot baby food.

Use half to three quarters of a teaspoon-flour your hands and roll dough into a ball, then flatten into a cookie. If your forget to flour your hands-everything will end up a sticky mess! Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes.

Transfer to a plate or cooling rack and allow to cool.  Beware of dog stampede that occurs when these things are handed out!

Daisy loves all food-so she has no issue showing off to get a couple cookies.

But…even reserved Bella would do a dance for these yummy treats!

  1. WOW – on your hind legs, even, Bella! I need to try these – very carefully in the pack.

  2. Yum! Those do sound good! Running off to wake Mom up so she can write down the recipe! 😀 Thanks for sharing.

    Waggin at ya,
