Since I am waiting on the pictures to arrive (they were taken on Grandpa’s camera) to write about Christmas; I decided to give y’all something to watch. I made a dog movie! It was a bit frustrating at first but I think I got it down! I tried to put it at a lower resolution so there wouldn’t be issues watching it. It is restricted due to my music (no bad language though) but I decided it fits too well to change it-the link works to take you to youtube.

Christmas Updates…
will be coming soon! Computer has crashed but I will let you know if Santa came to the girls soon.
Raw Meaty Bones
So, I’m sure some readers might be sickened by the thought of today’s post…but hang in here! I had decided to try and clean the girls’ teeth with some raw meaty bones. The action of gnawing and chewing is supposed to help clean their teeth. I’m pretty sure Bella had a dental with her spay this year but her breath stinks and I wanted to see if this could help. Plus, she already has tartar build up!
So, I got halved frozen pig feet. They are super cheap which is great too! I put Bella’s down in her food bowl to give her the idea it was food. I was worried if she’d chew because she can be so picky about eating things like trachea and bully sticks sometimes. Well, I did NOT have to worry about that girl! She pulled it out of her bowl, onto the towel and ate like a champ! She didn’t need any encouragement or direction. She did not want me to take it away either! I let her eat half but took it away just to make sure it didn’t give her diarrhea. It is the first treat or food she has ever showed enough interest in to try and snatch it from me! No growling or anything and I gave her some Zukes Salmon treats for giving up her foot.
Daisy was a whole different story. I put her out on the balcony because I knew she couldn’t lay in one place like on a towel. I think she knew it was food but she looked confused. She licked it, and wagged her tail at me, she smelled it, then wagged her tail at me, then licked it a bit more. She looked very happy…but kinda like “Oh! a present! Yay! Um, what do I do with it?” After a little encouragement she laid down and went to town. She is actually a faster chewer than Bella.
Letters to Santa..
Hey Santa,
Sorry I didn’t write yesterday, I was a little busy guarding the balcony from the squirrels. Then I had to take a couple naps. I’m really a great coonhound! I bay at the squirrels and try to chase the cats; I can reach my own treats in the table when I want them…oh wait, um.. I’m sorry! I really do try to be a good girl! It’s my nose! It’s a curse I tell you! I was trying to play with the squirrels, yeah, that’s it! And I was just making sure Mom’s bike was working-that’s why I chewed on her pedal!
So, I guess I won’t be getting anything from you Santa. I don’t think it’s fair we have to be good all year! I can be good for like 10 whole minutes; shouldn’t that count?!? If I could make a list I’d put treats, and squeaky toys, and treats, and squeaky toys, and maybe something fun to put my food in, and treats….wait, I think I said that one already.
Please forgive me Santa,
Your delightfully playful Coonhound Daisy
A quick note from Mom:
Santa, both of the girls have been very good this year. Bella has grown up so much and I am so proud. Daisy might get into things a bit, but she keeps me laughing and that is good enough for me! I hope you remember them on your trip this year.
Letters to Santa…
Dearest Santa,
Bella here. I want you to know I have tried to be a very good girl this year. I’m sorry for running away that one day that scared Mom and for being sick on the carpet twice. I promise I didn’t mean it! I have been a very good girl since Mom brought me home. When I got here I didn’t really didn’t know what I wanted-everything scared me but Mom and Daisy have been working to find things that I like.
So Santa, if you have a little room in your sleigh for some gifts for me I would really appreciate it. If I’m allowed to ask for things then I’d like some yummy treats to chew on, and some pretty collars to wear when I get to go special places. I promise I won’t get them dirty! I’ve also been thinking that perhaps I could try having my own squeaky toy. But if you can’t do this, I’ll understand. I’m happy just to hang out here in my new home!
Thank you,
The Sweetest Bluetick Bella
